Spread and Over/Under Predictions for Charlotte Hornets-Detroit Pistons Match

Spread and Over/Under Predictions for Charlotte Hornets-Detroit Pistons Match

Charlotte Hornets (5-9) return home Sunday and host the Detroit Pistons (7-9) at Spectrum Center. Charlotte looks to move on after blowing a big lead in a winnable matchup against the Nets on Tuesday that ultimately ended in a devastating 116-115 loss.

The Pistons suffered a devastating 108-107 defeat against Charlotte at the beginning of the month. The young team will likely carry a chip on their shoulders heading into the game as they trade blows with the team hoping for another game.

Here are my picks for tonight’s game. Rates courtesy FanDuel Sports Betting.

1 Star – Not so sure
2 Stars – A little overconfident
3 Stars – Pretty confident
4 Stars – Very confident
5 Stars – Must be a crash

1 star game in Hornets (+1): This game, as the spread suggests, is about as mixed as you can get for a late November matchup. Two young teams with relatively similar histories, relatively similar statistics, similar reliance on a talented quarterback, and goals for the season.

Charlotte won its first game of the season by a single point, but Detroit has fielded a slightly more stable roster of late. Ultimately, it would be recommended to stay away from this choice. If you feel like you have to choose based on the spread here, Charlotte is 4-2 ATS at home this season, which might be reason enough for someone to pick this line.

3 star game below: Charlotte kicked the ball just twice in seven games as the home team and scored just 4/13 times as the underdogs. Detroit doesn’t exactly inspire confidence against the top with a 1-7 record against the top as an away team, so getting out from under seems pretty simple here.

ATS: 6-3 (66.7%)
O/D: 4-5 (44.4%)
Overall: 10-8 (55.5%)
