A university student was reportedly stabbed to death by a group outside a nightclub in Kenya.

On Sunday, November 17 TikToker known as ‘Billionaire Evance Akoko’ it was reportedly stabbed and “hacked” to death by a gang of motorcycle taxi drivers.

Akoko, whose real name is Sospeter Onyango Osungo, was at a nightclub in Kibera, Kenya, with a few friends on the night of his death. After offering to buy drinks for everyone in the business, he and his friends left and went to a different club.

There, he and his entourage were greeted with tension from local bodaboda taxi operators. The term bodaboda means “border to border” in Kenya as a way to describe how they guide travelers.

Witnesses reported that Akoko allegedly threatened the bodaboda group with firearms. The intimidated group allegedly carried out a brutal attack on the TikToker by stabbing and hacking his body.

Akoko died at the scene and was later taken to the morgue for forensic examination. Bodaboda’s friends were also seriously injured in the attack. Luckily, the driver of the ‘Billionaire’ managed to escape and reported the attack to the police. Their vehicles were later seized as evidence at the local police station.

Following Akoko’s death, Nairobi Police Commander Adamson Bungei publicly stated that authorities are currently investigating the attack on the TikToker and her friends.

“Our ministry constantly opposes mob justice because it constitutes a crime,” Bungei said. “A special team is conducting an investigation to catch all perpetrators.”

Akoko, 23, who was in her final year of earning her architecture degree from Kirinyaga University, flaunted her wealth by frequently posting about luxury trips and expensive cars via social media.

Kenyan authorities are still searching for the group of bodaboda drivers who attacked Akoko and her friends.

It comes after the brutal stabbing of Akoko. Fatal stabbing of Instagram model Cindy Elizabeth Hernandez Perez. Perez was found dead in his home in Monterrey, Mexico, on October 4, after he could not pick up his son from daycare.
