Speculation on the issue will in no way facilitate the effort to reveal the truth.”

Two underwater cables were damaged in the Baltic Sea on 17 and 18 November. One connected Germany and Finland, the other connected Sweden and Lithuania. The first cable runs along the Nord Stream pipeline. Its failure was reported by Finnish government-owned telecom operator Cinia.
