2 most wanted people arrested in Lanao del Sur

LAWMEN arrested two of the most wanted men in Lanao del Sur province in separate law enforcement operations, police said in a statement on Friday, November 22, 2024.

Police Col. Robert Daculan, Lanao del Sur police chief, did not disclose the identities of the arrested men, who were ranked seventh and 10th most wanted in the province.

The seventh most wanted man was arrested in a law enforcement operation in Bayog village in Upper Tagoloan II, Lanao del Sur, around 2:55 pm on Wednesday, November 20, Daculan said.

The defendant has a standing warrant for attempted murder with a recommended bail of P120,000 issued by a court in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur on May 3, 2021.

Daculan said the 10th most wanted man was arrested at 12:05 a.m. on Wednesday, November 20, in Kayakay, Upper Tagoloan II, Lanao del Sur. The suspect has a standing arrest warrant with a recommended bail of P120,000 for attempted murder issued on May 3, 2021 by a court in Marawi City, Lanao del Sur.

Daculan did not say whether the two most wanted men, who were arrested on charges of attempted murder, were related or involved in the same incident.

The suspects were placed under the temporary custody of the Tagoloan police for proper disposal. (Sun Star Zamboanga)
