Three Auburn men face years in prison after pleading guilty to felony weapons charges

Three Auburn residents pleaded guilty to felony weapons charges following a Finger Lakes Drug Task Force investigation into drug and firearm crimes, Cayuga County District Attorney Brittany Grome Antonacci announced. Search warrants executed in August 2024 uncovered drugs and loaded firearms at their home.

Paul R. Currier, 39, pleaded guilty to attempted second-degree criminal possession of a weapon after police found a loaded .380-caliber handgun and cocaine at his home. He faces six years in prison at sentencing in January.

Extreme L. Deloach, 34, pleaded guilty to drug and weapons charges after authorities found more than 8 ounces of cocaine and a loaded 9mm handgun. He faces eight years at sentencing in December.

Walter Leonard, 45, also admitted possession of a loaded handgun and cocaine, and his sentence was set at seven years in January.
