Hollywood actor Jonathan Majors has finally escaped an assault and defamation lawsuit nearly a year after he was found guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend. The Creed III actor was first arrested in March 2023 on misdemeanor charges of assault, strangulation and harassment, and was found guilty in December. At the time, while Majors was avoiding going behind bars, he was ordered to enroll in a 52-week domestic abuse prevention program. While the 35-year-old actor claimed that he did not attack Jabbari before and after the domestic assault trial, he filed another lawsuit against him, accusing the actor’s lawyers of slandering him at the end of the trial.

According to the latest information, the lawyers of both parties rejected the case by mutually submitting a joint notice to the court on Thursday, November 21. “All claims against the Defendant in the above-mentioned case are dismissed with prejudice,” the filing said, according to Variety.

Lawyers have not yet commented on this matter.

Details of Jonathan Majors’ Legal Case

Majors and Jabbari met on the sets of the Marvel movie Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum-mania and reportedly started dating at that time. However, the couple split in March 2023 following a series of allegations of domestic squabbles.

Grace Jabbari, a British dancer by profession, later accused Majors of physically assaulting her by slapping her, breaking her finger, twisting her arms and hitting her, causing her to bleed in an incident that occurred around the same time. After a series of lawsuits were filed against Jonathan Majors, he was found guilty of two misdemeanors.

As a result, the actor was immediately dropped by Marvel Studios as he was set to reprise his role as Kang the Conqueror in the next Avengers movie.

At the same time, Majors was dismissed by his management company and public relations representation, as well as removed from various other projects and advertising campaigns. His trial began in November 2023, and Major pleaded not guilty to the charges. Finally, in December, he was convicted of one count of 3rd degree reckless assault and another count of harassment.

On the work front, Majors has managed to wrap up a few projects, including Martin Villeneuve’s Merciless and Magazine Dreams.
