Rape and Sexual Abuse Service Highland (RASASH), a charity that provides confidential expert support and advocacy to people affected by sexual violence and abuse in remote areas of the Highlands, has been “delighted” to receive a £2,500 donation from the Morrisons Foundation.

The funding from the supermarket’s philanthropic arm will allow RASASH to create a mobile hub service that will offer support to the Highlands’ rural communities who would otherwise be unable to access its facilities.

RASASH CEO Alev Taylor said: “RASASH is incredibly grateful to the Morrisons Foundation for its generous donation of £2,500.

“This vital funding will significantly help us develop our new center and create mobile, portable support spaces that will allow us to reach and support more survivors in the Highlands.

“We deeply appreciate the Morrisons Foundation’s commitment to our mission and their invaluable support in helping us provide safe and accessible spaces for those who need our services.”

David Scott, a trustee of the Morrisons Foundation, said: “It’s an honor to support RASASH’s important work with this £2,500 donation. “The mobile service will make a huge difference in delivering support to those who need it most, regardless of their location in the Highlands.”

RASASH is the only specialist service for survivors of sexual violence in the Highland Council area, home to some of the most rural and deprived areas in the UK.

RASASH has been providing free, confidential and expert support and advocacy to people affected by sexual violence for over a decade. If you need help, please contact RASASH on their free confidential helpline on 03330 066 909 or email [email protected].
