Life Imprisonment Due to Land Dispute in Kaushambi Murder Case

In a decisive verdict, the Kaushambi court on Friday sentenced a man and his four sons to life imprisonment for the murder of Munna Lal. District and Sessions Judge Anupam Kumar presided over the case and imposed a fine of Rs 24,000 on each convict.

The murder occurred on June 9, 2023, due to a land dispute. According to District Government Advocate Someshwar Kumar Tiwari, Kamta Prasad informed the police that his father was killed by Ramchandra and his sons (Sanjay, Roopchand, Indraraj and Brijraj) following a violent argument in which sticks and ax were used.

Munna Lal was declared dead at the hospital, leading to a murder charge at Saini police station. After a thorough review of the evidence, the defendants were found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment.
