  • RingConn’s application has been renewed

  • It has new AI tools and a better look

  • AI chatbot lackluster

RingConn has released a revision of its smart ring app; A fresh coat of paint and a significant upgrade have made the app look like a much more robust wellness tool. This is excellent news for anyone looking to choose a cheap option. best smart ringsespecially right now, right now Sale for Black Friday.

Starting with the obvious style change, the layout remains the same but various charts and graphs have been visually tweaked. For example, the wellness balance chart on the app’s homepage has changed from its diamond-like design to a much more readable flower-like design.

As you improve your Activity, Sleep, Rest, and Life Status scores, the relevant sheet is filled in. It’s very similar to the previous chart, except it’s much clearer at a quick glance.

…and then

These browsability improvements extend to other aspects of the homepage and stats pages, but let’s talk about the new features now. AI has come to the RingConn app in a big way with the launch of Health Plans.

The first of these plans to launch is a Body Mind Balance plan — a Sleep improvement plan is apparently on the way, according to the app — and after you answer a short survey about your activity patterns, the software will provide specific daily goals for you. To achieve this, you can steadily transition from your current routine to your new, healthier normal.

There’s also an AI chatbot you can chat with, but as the app states, it can only respond to fixed questions. Because of this limitation, it’s not very useful as it repackages the information the app already provides you. However, as it evolves, I could see AI becoming a useful fitness companion.

A reason to use the app

since tested RingConn Gen 2 for our reviewI continued to use the ring pretty much all the time — except for a week or two when I lost it (it fell behind my nightstand) — but I found myself trusting the app less and less because of the stats. The things I cared about most were easily viewed in the Android app widget. I could easily check my sleep, activity score, and ring battery with a quick glance at my home screen.

The in-depth information was useful, but most of the time I just wanted a quick summary of my stats and a quick guide to improving. The app’s face lift and health plan tool is excellent and gives me a reason to open the app more often as I can now get that extra detail and daily goals in a summarized, quick-to-read format.

As I mentioned above, the AI doesn’t seem exactly useful, but overall this overhaul of the RingConn app looks like a big boost rather than a downgrade, and I’m excited to see what improvements we get next.
