LIBERTY, MO. (KCTV) – On Friday, the Liberty Police Department arrested a man accused of domestic assault.

Andrew Colhour, 29, of Kearney, Missouri, was arrested and charged after police were called to a domestic assault in progress.

When officers arrived, they determined Colhour had assaulted three people, including a child. The man was taken into custody and charged with second-degree domestic assault and fourth-degree assault.

Colhour has numerous criminal complaints and violations in Missouri, including multiple cases dating back to 2011.

In December 2016, Colhour pleaded guilty to a charge of receiving stolen property and served a suspended sentence.

Then in July 2017, he was charged with second-degree burglary, fourth-degree domestic assault and second-degree criminal damage to property. Calhour pleaded guilty to all three charges, one of which was a felony, and was sentenced to six years in prison with credit for time already served.

In 2022, Calhour was charged with DWI. A plea agreement was made on October 16, 2024, the same day he was charged with burglary/burglary/burglary.

On November 23, 2024, following the alleged domestic assault incident, he was remanded to the Clay County Detention Center on a $30,000 bond. The next hearing date is scheduled for January 14, 2025.
