Last year, five of the first 50 trial verdicts resulted in prison sentences and suspended prison sentences; this rate was only 10% compared to last year.

Under the Debt Collection Law, attacking, threatening or detaining debtors or related persons can result in imprisonment of up to five years or a fine of up to 50 million won.
