Philippine Normal University received SO 9001:2015 recertified status for its quality management system during the closing program held on November 15, 2024, according to PNU President Bert Tuga.

“PNU underwent a two-day audit process examining the institution’s continued compliance with global standards,” Tuga said.

During the audit process facilitated by W3 Solutionz PH, auditors Arlene Castillo and Catherine Sigua highlighted some positive points and best practices implemented by PNU, some of which are unique to the university.

Known aspects included streamlined management, particularly in the library, a comprehensive security plan, and digitized inventory and tracking of materials.

PNU’s recent success in receiving the Philippine Quality Award for Competency in Quality Management has also strengthened PNU’s desire to seek recertification.
