Sivaganga Police Successfully Solved Two Theft Cases, Recovered Gold and Cash | Madurai News

Sivaganga police solved 2 theft cases, seized gold

Sivaganga: Sivaganga district police broke two people theft casesarrested five persons and seized 103 sovereign gold ornaments, 13 kg of silverware and Rs 3.5 lakh in cash.
District superintendent of police Dongare Pravin Umesh said S Senthilkumar of Karuviyapatti had lodged a complaint under Pallathur police station limits that unidentified thieves entered his locked house earlier this month and stole gold ornaments from the house.
A team led by Karaikudi DSP R Athmanathan initiated the investigation and arrested two persons, S Sethuraman and K Somasundaram from Sivaganga, for theft on Sunday. Around 103 sovereign gold ornaments, 4 kg silverware and 1.55 lakh cash were seized.
Sivaganga police On Saturday, we also solved another theft case by arresting three people. S Thangamani of Okkur reported that there was a theft incident at his house within Madagupatti police station limits on November 10. Police identified the suspects using fingerprints and CCTV footage and arrested them on Saturday. Charles of Sivaganga, K Lakshmanan of Coimbatore and B Madheswaran of Namakkal were taken into judicial custody. Police seized 9 kg silverware and 2 lakh cash from them.
The SP praised the officials who played a role in solving the cases.
