KUWAIT CITY, November 24: The General Administration of Penal Institutions has announced plans to transfer 32 Sri Lankan inmates serving their sentences at the Kuwait Central Prison. These people, convicted of various crimes, will be sent to Sri Lanka to complete their remaining sentences within the scope of the prisoner exchange agreement signed between Kuwait and Sri Lanka. According to informed security sources, the operation will be carried out in coordination with the Kuwaiti Air Force. The prisoners will be transported by military aircraft accompanied by a security team and handed over to Sri Lankan authorities upon arrival. This decision is part of ongoing efforts to reduce overcrowding in the Central Jail and ensure smooth administration of justice.
