Bishop TD Jakes had a medical episode in the middle of his sermon

Church services at the Dallas Potter’s House came to an abrupt halt Sunday. Bishop T.D. Jakes He had a medical accident in the middle of the sermon.

Jakes, a famous pastor and motivational speaker, talked about the joys of preaching shortly before the incident occurred. Video of the medical emergency went viral on social media shortly after the incident.

“I still love preaching. I’m not tired of preaching,” Jakes, 67, told the audience. “I miss you.”

“Have you ever gone to the hospital to visit someone and thought it would encourage them, and they encouraged you?” “That’s what preaching is like,” he continued. “You think you’re giving something, but you get back more than you gave.”

The priest then went on to quote Psalm 19:14 before falling silent.

“Let the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my strength and my savior, send them away in peace,” he said.

Jakes then stopped talking and was seen having a spasm as he sat in his chair and stared into the distance. Attendees rushed to the stage to help him, and a speaker asked the audience to pray for him while he was tended to.

Preacher’s X account posted an update on the medical emergency later Sunday.

“During today’s service, Bishop TD Jakes suffered a minor medical condition and received immediate medical attention following his powerful hour-long message,” the statement said. The statement was included.

The update also added that Jakes is currently “stable and under the care of medical professionals.”

“The entire Potter’s House family is grateful for this positive development. love, prayers and support from the community,” added the message, “Thank you for your understanding and continued prayers.”
