Man wanted for murder arrested at NAIA

A 51-year-old man wanted for murder for nearly three decades was captured at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3, the Philippine National Police – Aviation Security Group (Avsegroup) said on Monday.

Avsegroup officials said the man, who cannot be identified due to the Privacy Act, had been on the run for 28 years and was trying to leave the country for Kuala Lumpur on November 23, 2024.

He was captured by Immigration Bureau (BI) officers after his name appeared on BI’s list of people wanted for crimes.

The man is currently in police custody pending further legal proceedings.

Aviation police said the arrest warrant was issued by a court in Manila.
