3 Suspects Arrested in Chabad Representative Murder

The United Arab Emirates said Sunday that three suspects were arrested in connection with the murder of Chabad emissary Rabbi Zvi Kogan.

BAE noted that Kogan was a Moldovan resident of Dubai, without specifying his Israeli citizenship.

The country’s interior ministry has emphasized its ability to respond decisively to any attempts to undermine the security and stability of the society, which has been called one of the safest and most tolerant in the world.

The Ministry said that upon receiving notice from his family about his absence, a special investigation team was immediately established, his body was found, the criminals were identified and arrested, and legal action was taken against them. All details about the incident will be disclosed after the investigation is completed.

“We are fully committed to the safety and security of our citizens, residents and visitors. The government’s security machinery maintains high standards of safety and security.”

Emirati and Israeli security forces have been in contact since Kogan’s disappearance, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the close coordination between the countries.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry called the killing of Zvi Kogan “a heinous act of anti-Semitic terrorism. The State of Israel will and will enforce the law in every possible way against those responsible for his death.”
