WorkSafe is investigating the crash and police will prepare a report for the coroner.

Ronson, 52, became Medibank’s marketing director in July.

He was widely respected in the Australian marketing industry.

Ronson was also an adjunct professor at Deakin University in Victoria and a board member of Wheelchair Rugby Australia.

Medibank chief executive David Koczkar said those at the private health insurer were heartbroken by Ronson’s death.

“We are devastated by the news of Lisa’s death,” Koçzkar said. “Lisa was a brilliant, well-liked and highly respected member of our team at Medibank.

“Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.”
