Arsenal cult hero Nicklas Bendtner caught in horrific stabbing as video emerges

ARSENAL claimed a 3-0 win against Nottingham Forest and some standout players shone.

Here, SunSport Jordan Davies rates each player

David Raya-7
There is little to do. He collected several crosses under pressure and made a careful and quick distribution to put Arsenal into action.

Jurrien Timber – 7
The ball was in the net and he was unlucky not to keep it that way, as VAR eventually intervened and gave Mikel Merino offside in the build-up. A solid screen.

William Saliba-8

He had put up a real fight against another big man in Taiwo Awoniyi, but that didn’t bother him too much. As always, he was ready for the task without losing his cool.

Gabriel Magalhaes-7
It was a fairly comfortable afternoon for Gabriel, who didn’t even have a decent ball to attack with while Forest’s target man focused on Saliba.

Riccardo Calafiori-7
He was a bit vulnerable on the counter in the early stages, perhaps indicating that his fitness levels were not yet there after a long injury spell.

However, he regained his composure and became a cornerstone protecting crosses and set-pieces.

Jorginho-6
It was a rare start and he did his best to solidify things in midfield, but his needless yellow eventually led to his defeat at half-time with Arteta not willing to take risks.

Martin Odegaard-9
I promise, did Arsenal miss this guy? Getting back to the team and the tempo, setting the tempo and providing that creative spark with fluidity and mastery.

By the end Forest’s players looked like they had been beaten into submission.

Mikel Merinos – 7
With Jorginho sitting deeper, the Spaniard had the freedom to play the ‘Rice role’, going forward at will and providing genuine attacking intent by entering the penalty area.

Bukayo Saka-9

She showed off her samba hips in a silky dance between tackles in the box before firing a stunning effort into the top corner.

Forest left-back Alex Moreno had a torrid afternoon, especially after allowing Saka to slot back in at half-time to level Partey’s strike from distance.

Gabriel Jesus – 6
I’m still looking for the third goal this calendar year. He was at his best in the first half, curling an effort narrowly wide, but that just isn’t happening for the Brazilian.

A real chance to bet on this starting 11 has been missed.

Leandro Trossard-7
He should have put Arsenal ahead in the first two minutes but he slotted in a close-range effort and saw another save from Matz Sels before the break.

Despite limping off towards Belgium in midweek, he looked as sharp as ever.

SUBSCRIPTIONS
THOMAS PARTEY (JORGINHO, 45) – 8

He was on the pitch just seven minutes before sending the beautiful player into the far corner; An inspiring substitution.

OLEKSANDR ZINCHENKO (CALAFIORI, 67) – 6
He did what was necessary. He positioned himself in inverted passing lanes to force Arsenal out from the back as Forest increased the pressure as time went on.

ETHAN NWANERI (ODEGAARD, 82) – 8

There are still more minutes left for this impressive academy talent and he already has a trademark finish curling into the far corner with his left foot. He almost did it in less than two minutes.

He steps in shortly after for his first Prem goal after Sterling’s cutback. Memorable.

RAHEEM STERLIN (SAKA, 82) – 7
He needed to really make a difference off the bench to start and sustain his season and he did just that, providing the assist for Nwaneri’s historic goal.

JAKUB KIWIOR (TIMBERS, 87) – None
