According to the ministry’s data, the top 10 non-performing districts are Balasore, Balangir, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Nayagarh, Nuapada and Rayagada. The ministry has written to the district collectors of these districts to intensify the issuance of UDID to PwDs. “As you know, only certificates issued by competent health authorities through the UDID portal will be accepted throughout the state. disability certificates “Laws previously given in favor of EBs in manual mode will no longer be accepted,” the letter said.
The correspondence sent by department director Niyati Pattnaik to the district collectors revealed that out of 11,90,223 UDID applications registered in the state so far, only 7,16,205 UDID cards have been created, while 1,33,935 applications are still waiting to be created. . “You are requested to give necessary instructions to the concerned authorities to focus more on the issuance of UDID card generations and reduce the dependency to below 5 percent by November 30 to achieve saturation under the project,” Pattnaik said. he said.
According to records, the place with highest addiction is Balasore with 24.41%, followed by Jagatsinghpur with 19.37%, Rayagada with 17.44%, Ganjam with 16.03%, Keonjhar with 14.38%, Cuttack with 13.69%. , Bhadrak follows with 13.54%, followed by Nuapada with 13.42%. %, Nayagarh with 11.12% and Balangir with 10.2%.
While 22,960 UDID applications are still pending in Balasore, 5,426 applications are pending in Jagatsinghpur; 4,054 in Rayagada; in Ganjam, 13,474; in Keonjhar, 5,474; in Cuttack, 7,137; in Bhadrak, 5,863; 3,759 in Nuapada; in Nayagarh, 5,918; In Balangir, 5,366 applications are still pending.
