Missing 19-year-old identified as man shot to death in car off I-435

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. (KCTV) – The Independence Police Department has confirmed that a 19-year-old man reported missing on Saturday is the same man found dead on Sunday.

On Sunday, November 24, around 16.45, Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department Posted to the area of ​​I-435 and Truman Road. Callers said a person had passed out in their car.

First responders found the car on the southbound exit ramp of the interstate. There was a man inside with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Earlier that day, Independence Police Department He had raised a missing person alert for 19-year-old Preston Bell.

Bell was last seen being forced into his car in front of his home at around 20.30 on Saturday, November 23. His family could not reach him afterwards.

When Independence officers responded to the scene of I-435 and Truman Road on Sunday, they were able to confirm that the dead man was Bell.
