CJ Stroud Speaks Out After Houston Texans Loss

The Houston Texans suffered a tough loss to the Tennesee Titans this weekend, and offensive struggles in the second half became a recurring theme for the team.

Rookie quarterback CJ Stroud, who showed poise beyond his years in his first season, took responsibility for the Texans’ problems and vowed to improve.

“You can point to a lot of places, but I always point to myself,” Stroud said when asked about the offense’s lack of rhythm. “I am the leader of the offense. “I’ve got to get us going, we’ve got to get our rhythm, we’ve got to find a better way to finish the first half and start the second half better.”

Stroud emphasized how much the team’s success depends on his own performance and underlined the need for self-improvement.

“This ultimately starts with me being interested in football and keeping a rhythm, managing the ball well, having the right reading and the right looks. That way I can say that we will be better, I have to be better.

The Texans have shown promise this year and have faced challenges maintaining consistency throughout the games. Stroud’s self-awareness and willingness to accept responsibility reflects his maturity and determination to manage the franchise despite growing challenges.

When asked what adjustments could be made to the offense to produce better results, Stroud acknowledged the difficulty of finding a single solution.

“We have to keep training and keep playing. So you name it. I don’t know. The only thing I know how to do is train better, play better, meet better, do everything better,” he said.

If the team can take these lessons to heart and improve on its shortcomings, this season’s growing pains could ultimately pave the way for long-term success.

Stroud and the Texans will look to make adjustments as they prepare to face the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 13.
