METRO bus and SUV crash in HOV lane of northbound I-45

A major car crash is being investigated, causing a traffic stop in the HOV lane on I-45.

A Jeep SUV and a METRO bus were involved in the wreck. The crash happened around 9:30 a.m. Monday morning in the northbound lane of IH-45 before North Street.

While major damage occurred on the driver’s side of the SUV, the windshield of the metrobus was also broken.

Around noon, a tow truck was trying to remove the destroyed SUV.

We are trying to determine if anyone was injured in the accident.
