Man accused of string of window entry burglaries in NJ county

An Elizabeth man has been charged in connection with a series of home burglaries that occurred over a month in Bergen County, prosecutors announced Monday.

Jonnathan Diaz-Gomez, 42, of Elizabeth, was first arrested April 27 after Paramus police responded to an attempted trespasser on Ehret Street around 8:35 p.m., according to the release.

When officers arrived, they found a car with several people inside and another man crouching nearby. The suspects fled, but police caught two people, including Diaz-Gomez, who was driving the car, according to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella.
