Former deputy governor of China’s Heilongjiang province sued for alleged bribery

BEIJING — A civil lawsuit has been launched against Wang Yixin, the former deputy governor of Heilongjiang province in northeast China, on charges of accepting bribes.

The Heze Municipal People’s Procuratorate in eastern China’s Shandong province submitted the case to the city’s intermediate court after an investigation by the National Supervisory Commission.

Prosecutors allege Wang abused his position in Hainan and Shanxi provinces to benefit others in exchange for bribes described as “excessively large.”
