Former AZ Coyotes Paul Bissonnette attacked outside Scottsdale restaurant

SCOTTSDALE, AZ — Former Arizona Coyotes left winger Paul Bissonnette was allegedly attacked outside a restaurant in Scottsdale Sunday night.

Scottsdale police said the incident happened around 7:30 p.m. at the Houston restaurant near McDonald Drive and Scottsdale Road.

According to police, an argument took place inside the restaurant between six people and the management.

Police said Bissonnette tried to help management calm the men down and get them to leave, then the situation “escalated to the point where the men attacked Paul Bissonnette inside and outside the restaurant.”

Police said six people involved in the incident were arrested.

Bissonnette was taken to the hospital for evaluation. It is unknown what these injuries were.

The people involved are facing assault and disorderly conduct charges.

The investigation is still ongoing.
