Abbott appoints two people to Texas Emergency Medical Services Council

AUSTIN, Texas (KAUZ) – Texas Governor Greg Abbott has appointed two long-term members to the Texas Emergency Medical Services Council.

Brian Petrilla from Tomball, Texas, and Rodney Tidwell, who works in Lubbock but is from there

The Council advises and makes recommendations on Texas health care issues related to EMS and trauma interventions.

Both Petrilla and Tidwell have backgrounds in emergency response and public services. Petrilla worked for the City of Houston Fire Department as a firefighter paramedic and aircraft rescue firefighter for more than two decades. Tidwell works with Lubbock EMS and previously served as a city council member in Post, Texas.

Its terms will expire on January 1, 2030.
