3 people hospitalized after train accident

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ) – Three people were hospitalized following a train crash in the area of ​​US-501 and Graves Mill Road on Monday, Nov. 25.

The Lynchburg Police Department and Lynchburg Fire Department responded to reports of a train crash involving pedestrians at 7:30 p.m. According to Lynchburg Police, three injured people were located.

According to Lynchburg Police, emergency medical assistance was provided and all three people were transported to Lynchburg General Hospital. Police said they did not know the condition of the individuals.

Police said one person was hit by the train, but it is not known whether the other two were hit or injured as they tried to escape the train.
