A shocking 88% of Gen Zers are turning to AI for workplace tasks

NEW YORK, November 26: Rapid success in the corporate world is now just a few clicks away, as new research reveals that 82% of young professionals rely on artificial intelligence (AI) to perform their tasks.

A striking 88 percent of survey respondents say advanced technology has helped them overcome “task paralysis,” a modern disorder similar to the “functional freeze” trend seen on social media that occurs when workplace demands become overwhelming.

“The future of work is here, and it’s powered by AI,” Google Workspace Vice President of Product Yulie Kwon Kim said in a statement. “Emerging leaders are not only championing AI, but also using it in meaningful ways, from improving communication with colleagues to creating more time for strategic initiatives.”

Known for embracing high-tech solutions to make work easier and reduce stress, Generation Z continues to innovate. From using ChatGPT to negotiate salary to replacing traditional resumes with creative “hire me” TikToks, this generation is redefining the workday.

The findings come from a November report from Google Workspace; This report shows that Generation Z (individuals under the age of 27) are using AI to perform relatively simple tasks like drafting emails and taking meeting notes. Generation Y, aged between 27 and 42, is also becoming increasingly dependent on these vehicles.

The research surveyed more than 1,000 young professionals ages 22 to 39, referred to as “young leaders.” It found that 93% of Gen Z respondents and 79% of Millennials use at least two AI tools per week to improve their workplace performance.

Experts noted that artificial intelligence is not just about easing workloads, but also improving essential workplace skills. “The data shows how AI can scale critical soft skills such as collaboration, effective communication, and leadership,” the study authors explained.

Artificial intelligence is reshaping the way young professionals work by enabling tasks to be completed faster and more efficiently, encouraging empowerment and innovation in the process.
