John Tinniswood, the world’s oldest man, dies at the age of 112, according to Guinness World Records | UK News

Guinness World Records announced that the world’s oldest man died at the age of 112.

John Tinniswood’s birthplace Liverpool August 26, 1912, the year the Titanic sank.

He died at a care home in Southport on Monday, according to Guinness World Records.

“His last day was surrounded by music and love,” his family said in a statement.

In April 2024, at the age of 111, he became the world’s oldest living man, following the death of 114-year-old Juan Vicente Perez of Venezuela.

Mr. Tinniswood’s most important advice for staying healthy was moderation. “If you drink too much, eat too much, or walk too much; if you do too much of anything, you will end up suffering.”

He was a lifelong Liverpool FC fan, born just 20 years after the club was founded.
