Murray told Movieguide® that, in fact, the on-screen friendships between the characters mirror the real-life relationships between the actors.

Murray believes another special aspect of the film is its focus on family; This is something that is missing in many movies today.

“They don’t make a lot of movies that focus on family as much as relationships, so focusing on the family part…I think that’s very special.”

A LITTLE WOMAN’S CHRISTMAS is a delight for fans of the classic novels. While updating the story, we stay true to the characters, their passions and personalities. There are also allusions to Alcott’s work sprinkled throughout the story, rewarding fans who keep their eyes peeled. The film also stays true to the Christian content of the book. It also teaches powerful messages about the importance of family and contains strong Biblical allusions. One character weaves a web of lies, but LITTLE WOMEN’S CHRISTMAS is otherwise free of questionable content.
