UP Government Goes to Supreme Court

Government of Uttar Pradesh informed Allahabad High Court 59-year-old businessman will be released today Muhammad Javedalso known as Javed PumpUP Police arrested him on Sunday night for allegedly inciting unrest by publishing an objectionable post on social media regarding the recent violence in Sambhal district of the state.

Violence broke out in the Sambhal district after a team led by a lawyer commissioner searched the Mughal-era Jama Mosque on the orders of the local court. The violence resulted in the death of 4 people.

Javed Pump, a former person Leader of the Welfare Party of India, currently facing a lawsuit involving JJune 2022 Prayagraj Violence incident He is accused of damaging public property.

The State Prosecutor said before a delegation: Justice Arvind Singh Sangwan and Justice Mohd. Azhar Hussein IdrisiAfter hearing Javed’s habeas corpus plea, Javed will be released by 5 pm today on the condition that he secures the necessary bail/surety bond in the presence of Deputy Commissioner of Police Prayagraj.

The bench was also informed that he has been arrested under a case under Sections 126 (Security to maintain peace in other cases), 135 (Inquiry into veracity of information) and 117 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. Issue a surety bond along with two sureties to the tune of Rs. 50,000/- and was sent to judicial custody.

In front of the counter Senior Advocate SFA Naqvi, supported by Lawyer Shashwat Anand, He appeared on behalf of the petitioner and argued that he was unlawfully arrested and unlawfully detained from his home at 10.45 pm on November 24.

The court will hear his habeas corpus defense on November 29.

Javed was arrested on charges of breach of peace after he posted an objection on social media on Sunday night. After the alleged post was detected, Javed was arrested and the post was removed.
