Hopewell treasurer Shannon Foskey charged with embezzlement

RICHMOND, Va. — City of Hopewell treasurer Shannon Foskey was arrested yesterday on charges of embezzlement of public funds, according to court records.

Foskey was arrested for the first time last month On separate charges, including one count of falsifying public records and one count of computer fraud.

CBS 6 Crime Insider sources say Foskey’s original arrest and charges stem from unpaid city taxes.

He will appear in court on January 22 for the previous four charges and on January 28 for the new charge.

Foskey is currently being held without bail in the Riverside Regional Jail.
