Sentenced to up to 8 years in prison for rape and child pornography in Saratoga Springs

A Saratoga Springs man was sentenced Thursday to up to 8 years in prison on rape and child pornography charges. Michael May, 28, pleaded guilty in November 2023. It was part of a plan in which he and his mother would use nicotine products and e-cigarettes. sexually explicit photos and videos of girls via social media. According to the Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office, the events occurred in December 2022. He was also arrested in connection with a rape in Malta in January 2021.

Michael May, 28, pleaded guilty in November 2023. He was also arrested in connection with a rape in Malta in January 2021.

May pleaded guilty to rape and solicitation of an obscene sexual performance by a child in November 2023 and was sentenced Tuesday. The two sentences will be served consecutively for a total sentence of 5 1/3 to 8 years in prison.
