Schenectady man admits to sending video of teens having sex

A Schenectady man admitted to sending an explicit video of a child to another person.

Tyreik Blackmon, 30, pleaded guilty Tuesday in Schenectady County Court to two counts of soliciting the sexual performance of a child as a sexual offense.

According to the Schenectady County District Attorney’s Office, on Nov. 2, 2023, Blackmon, also known as “Elise,” sent a video to another person she was chatting with on the online dating app. The video shows an adult having sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 17.

Under the terms of the plea, Blackmon will be sentenced to 7 years in prison and 10 years of post-release supervision.

Investigators were unable to identify the person in the video.

The claim covers nine other matters related to an image of child pornography on his phone.

Blackmon will be required to register as a sex offender and not engage in any conduct with the person in the video.

Blackmon is scheduled to be sentenced on January 28.
