Tragic Murder in Bengaluru: Young Woman Stabbed to Death

A 21-year-old man in Bengaluru is facing murder charges for allegedly stabbing a 19-year-old girl to death, police officials said on Wednesday. The accused, identified as Aarav Hanoy from Kerala, has been charged under sections 103 and 238 of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS).

According to law enforcement officials, the suspect works as a student counselor in a private education firm located in Bengaluru’s HSR Layout. Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Bengaluru D Devaraja revealed that the crime took place at the Royal Living service flat in Indira Nagar, where the victim Maya Gogoi died two days before she was discovered.

The police were informed about the bad smell coming from the flat. After investigation, officers and forensic experts recovered Gogoi’s body. When the CCTV footage was examined, it was seen that Hanoy entered the facility with Gogoi on November 23. Hanoy reportedly vacated the room in the early hours of November 26. The victim, who also worked as a consultant in Koramangala district, had multiple stab wounds on his chest. As authorities attempted to apprehend Hanoy, a nylon cable and knife were found at the scene, prompting further investigation.
