Barry Island: Two teenage boys appear in court after 12-year-old girl was stabbed

Two teenage boys appeared in court following the stabbing of a 12-year-old girl.

Officers were called to reports of an assault near the Harbor Road car park on Barry Island, Vale of Glamorgan, at around 17:00 GMT on Sunday.

The boys, aged 13 and 15, who cannot be named due to their ages, were charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent following the incident.

At Cardiff Magistrates’ Court the defendants spoke to confirm their names and no defense was made. The defendants, who were released on conditional bail, will appear at Cardiff Crown Court on 20 December.
