Romulus man charged with DWI after traffic stop

A Romulus man was arrested Saturday evening on charges of Driving While Intoxicated and Felony Driving While Intoxicated after being stopped by Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies.

Craig A. Coonradt, 52, was taken into custody at approximately 8:38 p.m., Nov. 24, following a traffic stop in Romulus Township. Authorities allege Coonradt was driving a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.18% or higher, more than twice the legal limit.

Coonradt was released on a bench warrant and is scheduled to answer to the charges in Romulus Town Court at a later date.

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office is warning all drivers to avoid drunk driving and prioritize road safety, especially during the holiday season.
