Amarillo police arrest man on 10 child pornography charges

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – The Amarillo Police Department’s Special Victims Unit (SVU) arrested a man and charged him with 10 counts of possession of child pornography.

Oklahoma Predator Prevention, an organization that detects online child predators, contacted the Amarillo Police Department’s Special Victims Unit on Nov. 23, according to a press release.

An investigation was conducted into the activities of 41-year-old Michael Green based on information provided by Oklahoma Predator Prevention.

Green’s cell phone, of Amarillo, was seized and forensically examined by an APD SVU Internet Crimes Against Children investigator.

The investigation revealed that Green was in possession of illegal child sexual abuse material, including minors.

Green admitted to receiving and viewing the material during several interviews.

He was booked into the Randall County Detention Center on 10 counts of possession of child pornography containing more than 50 depictions or videos.
