Indiana man arrested for sexual assault of a child in Rochelle

ROCHELLE, Illinois (WIFR) – A man accused of attacking a child in South Bend, Indiana will remain in the Ogle County Jail.

Casper Jennings, 32, is charged with predatory criminal sexual assault of a child.

He was arrested on November 23 following an investigation by the Rochelle Police Department. Shining Star Child Advocacy Center in Dixon is assisting with the investigation, police said.

Police say the victim had been physically and sexually assaulted for several years.

At a detention hearing on Nov. 26, the judge ruled that Jennings would remain in custody at the Ogle County Sheriff’s Office. It’s unclear when Jennings will appear in court.
