Farmington Woman Arrested for Assault After Investigation

A local woman has been charged with third-degree assault following an incident earlier this week, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies arrested Melinda S. Rosato, 45, at her home on Dale Drive on Thursday around 8:47 p.m. The arrest stemmed from an investigation into an altercation that occurred on November 26.

Authorities have not released details of the incident, but Rosato was taken into custody and transported to the Ontario County Jail. He was held for trial in the CAP Court.

Rosato is scheduled to appear in Farmington City Court at a later date to answer to the charges. The investigation into the matter continues.
