Couple Pays for Wedding Guest’s Accommodation, Then Makes 4 Reservations Per Room at Budget Hotel

Destination wedding guests are asking for different accommodations after seeing common “cheap” hotel rooms.

In a post redditOn ‘s “Wedding” forum, one person explained that those hosting a destination wedding pay for all of their guests’ lodging, including hotel rooms. However, they are not satisfied with what is offered.

“Our friends told us that accommodation had been arranged for a large group,” the poster explained. “We assumed there would be two people to a room since we were all mostly couples. However, when we arrived at the venue we were given room assignments for four people to a room with a full-size bed and a sofa bed (or bunk beds) in each room.”

Having so many people crammed into one room disrupted everyone’s daily routine.

“The events last three days and the majority of guests were late for the first event due to issues getting ready/showering/pooping in a single bathroom,” the poster continued.

Now the individual wants to have his or her own hotel room “to save some space.”

“It’s only around $40 per night but I’m worried about inconveniencing our hosts,” they wrote, adding in the comment section, “I’m definitely trying to be understanding considering they organize accommodation for so many people. But I was absolutely blown away when I saw the accommodation in the first place (blow dryer/ “There were no amenities such as an ironing board) and I was even more shocked to learn upon arrival that this room would be shared by four people.”

The person who made the poster asked the forum for their thoughts or any advice they might have.
