Man dead, suspect arrested after shooting at home in Rochester

Police have arrested a suspect in connection with a deadly shooting in Rochester early Saturday.

The Rochester Police Department said they were called to a home in the 4100 block of Manor Woods Drive Northwest just after 1:10 a.m. after the man was shot.

Despite the intervention of firefighters who arrived at the scene, the man died at the scene.

One person was detained. The Rochester Police Department did not release any details about the suspect.

“There were no other injuries and there is no known threat to the public,” the department said.

The investigation is ongoing and more information is expected to be released in the coming days.
