‘Dead’ man wakes up moments before being cremated

An Indian man is lucky to survive after some time close to burning. When Rohitash Kumar woke up, he was minutes away from being cremated.

He was admitted to a hospital in Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu last week after falling ill with fever. Rohitash, who was hearing impaired and mute, was living in a shelter at that time.

“The man had no relatives when he first arrived at the hospital. His condition deteriorated and there were no signs of life.” Metro he quoted local police officials.

Unfortunately, there wasn’t much that could be done and he was pronounced dead. According to various reports, no autopsy was performed on the man.

Rohitash reportedly spent three hours in the morgue freezer before being sent to the crematorium. His body was placed on a funeral pyre and was minutes away from being cremated when staff noticed he was breathing heavily.

“He started moving his body. We were shocked and started running away,” said an eyewitness. Telegram.

Three doctors were suspended for “gross misconduct and neglect of their duties”.

Following the shocking incident, Rohitash’s condition was reported to be stable.
