One dead, one hospitalized in Shippensburg stabbing

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. (WHTM)– One person is dead and another is hospitalized following a stabbing in Shippensburg County Sunday night, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

PSP said that on Oct. 27 at 10 p.m., troopers responded to the 1st block of North Washington Street for a report of two people being stabbed.

Police found one victim dead at the scene and the other with life-threatening injuries, according to PSP. The surviving victim was transported to Penn State Holy Spirit Medical Center.

PSP said that the investigation into the murder is ongoing, but there is no threat to the public. There is no information about the suspect at this time.

The names of the victims have not yet been released.
