Trial begins for Cleveland man accused of killing his girlfriend

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) – The trial of a Cleveland man accused of killing his girlfriend is set to begin Monday morning.

In July, James G. Drahos pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted $1 million bail, according to court documents.

The 59-year-old man was indicted by a grand jury on charges of murder, crimes against a human corpse, tampering with evidence and domestic violence charges.

Drahos was arrested on July 9 for the murder of 56-year-old Tammy Dubuisson.

Dubuisson was reported missing by her family on June 19 and was last seen on May 22 in the area of ​​West 139th Street and Sherry Avenue in the Bellaire-Puritas neighborhood.

On July 9, police and FBI agents searched the couple’s home in the 4300 block of West 139th St. and said they found human remains.

An autopsy will be performed to officially confirm the identity, but police said they believe the remains are those of Dubuisson.
