6 street racers arrested in Nashville Saturday night

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Six people are facing charges related to street racing arrests in Nashville over the weekend.

Metro Nashville police teamed up with the Tennessee Highway Patrol to combat street racing in Davidson County Saturday night.

Police conducted 20 traffic stops throughout the county and arrested six people. Two adults and a juvenile were taken into custody on 14 charges, including reckless driving, evading arrest and illegal weapons possession.

The other two adults were charged with misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and not having a driver’s license.

“The MNPD Traffic Division is committed to continuing its investigations into groups of street racers who cause damage and harm through dangerous driving,” MNPD said.
