Rusty scissors broke during caesarean section in Kolkata hospital | Kolkata

Doctors with knowledge of the details said that part of a rusty pair of scissors broke off during a Caesarean section at a Kolkata hospital.

“While performing a cesarean section, a small part of the scissors suddenly broke off and fell off. If the patient’s intestines had fallen inside, his intestines could have been injured. Bladder dissection was in progress when this occurred. A trainee doctor from SSKM, who was in the operating room, told media members that the birth had not occurred yet.

Some of the junior doctors claimed that this was not the first time such an incident had occurred in state-run medical colleges and hospitals.
