El Paso County man sentenced to 44 years in prison for sexual assault

FOUNTAIN — An El Paso County man has been convicted of three counts of sexual assault on a child in a position of trust, according to the Fountain Police Department.

On Friday, police said Carl Ray Jordan, who was 76 when he was arrested last year, was sentenced to 44 years in the Colorado Department of Corrections.

A Fountain man was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a child in 2014, according to the Fountain Police Department.

Jordan was arrested on November 9, 2023, on the following charges:

• sexual assault of a child by a trusted person
• aggravated incest

Çeşme Police Department detectives began investigating this report on October 31, 2023. During the investigation, they learned that there were other victims in this case.
Jordan is an employee of the Griffith Children’s Chins Up Center, located just north of Memorial Park in Colorado Springs.
