TPD arrests alleged gunman in Toledo homicide Sunday morning

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) -TPD officers say they arrested the person responsible A man was shot dead early Sunday morning. In Toledo.

On Sunday, October 27, TPD reported Zayn Disher to the 2,500 block of Airport Hwy. He said he was shot on his block. He was transported to a nearby hospital by first responders around 3:45 a.m. and later died from his injuries.

About 36 hours after the shooting, officers arrested 23-year-old Elijah Garza on two charges: murder and aggravated assault. Police said multiple witnesses identified the attacker.

Garza was booked into the Lucas County jail and awaited arraignment at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, October 29.
